I recently found this photographs among the collection of a relative who died when she was 94 years old. It is on photo paper that is consistent with the other pictures that she took. On the back of the photo she had written : “Queen Elizabeth II, visit to Ottawa, opening of Parliament, Oct. 1957.”
The picture reminded of the royal visit of the Queen’s parents to Toronto in 1939. To view photos of this historic visit :
